Found a video about this game on youtube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuVP7DHhgWc&mode=related&search=

The gameplay looks pretty cool, though the frame rate gets a bit choppy at times (as far as I can tell) Has anybody here actually heard of or played this game? Apparently it was gonna be released on the NeoGeo but didn't get released though it did get released on the 3DO in Korea. I'd love to get a copy but if it's as RARE as the poster of the video says it is forget it  :(

Rarity sucks

Thanks for posting that video. I had never heard of that game. It looked promising in the preview, until the gameplay started, and then it was obvious that this was not a 3D fighting game.
So, if you want 3D fighting on 3DO, you are stuck with Ballz!

I would have preferred a 2D fighter over a 3D one anyday. Have to wonder how the mushy d-pad would have held up to sidestepping and the overal movement in a 3D arena (I've never played Ballz: Directors Cut, but from what I know about the 16-bit versions it's not really 3D, it's Psuedo3D with 2D sprites with dynamic scaling)

Well since we're posting about little known games, here's a vid of one that never got released.   It's for D2 (designed for the 3DO M2), and it has nothing to do with the D2 released for the Sega Saturn.   Enjoy:

BTW - Laura's pregnant in this one.

That would have been the Sega Dreamcast, not the Saturn brother! It's all good though.

As for 3D fighters, did this game actually release for the 3DO? I'd love to get my hands on it just to do a review!

My mistake, but I was confused with Enemy Zero which was commonly referred to as D2 because it stars Laura.   (Naked BTW)

Really man, it's all good, I just don't want a new collector to the Saturn to come here and start some mad dash search for D2 on the Saturn. Seriously though, I'm glad that you posted the movie in the M2 section of the board. A sweet vid to be sure.

wow. That's another import I'd never heard.  Nicely animated and fairly smooth looking. Even has nice background detail.  I wonder how many hundreds/thousands a copy of that would set me back.

Too much probably. These kinds of games are the kinds that I would love to get my hands on but I am telling you, this is insane as alot of these imports are insanely hard to find.

Yeah, I saw this over there as well. I can say that I am quite impressed with the way the game looks and it seems that whoever is playing the game in the vid makes the game look to control quite nicely as well. Really makes me want to play it, and something bad. I love oldschool 2D fighters. They are a dieing breed these days.

Interesting enough it was designed for the Neo Geo MVS as Fight Fever 2: Eye of the Typhoon. However the 2 versions are not identical. The MVS version is missing some characters and the sprites are MUCH bigger.

I doubt you'll be able to find it, it's a prototype apparently. Don't know why they didn't release it as it looks finished and if the 3DO port is any indication it was finished or all the components were there.

This site has a little info on it too but it has scans of the manual and inserts for the arcade cabinet along with a list of other NeoGeo protos..
NeoGeo Protos
but so far any other info has alluded me :/

I might have to track down a copy of the prequel: Fight Fever as it might shed some light on how the game may have played.
