| WARP, nice little group that brought the 3DO the now legendary D and also Trip'd in the US. Enemy Zero made it's way to the Sega Saturn and of course, the eventual release of D2 for the Dreamcast was awesome. I know I am missing games, I'm a US gamer and not always privy to imports sadly, but the one thing I can say is that WARP were ahead of their time. What do you guys think? If the games had been held off for release on the 3DO, do you think WARP would have had a bigger impact in the gaming market or do you think that the impact they did have had to do with the 3DO ditectly where they wouldn't have had a fair chance on another platform? |

| I always dug Warp. There was a time when I collected all the Warp "games" (I quote due to Real Sound for the Saturn, not really a game). I loved reading the Eno interviews that mags would occasionally run. Moreso when he got pissed at Sony and started ragging on them. |

Yeah, he had a way with words for sure. I personally like it when anyone rags on Sony as they deserve it fully. It is sad that they quickly became like Nintendo was in the late 80's into the mid 90's. I really hated Nintendo at that time because it was all about a Monoploy and that is where Sony site right now. The more "Power" they have, the worse it gets. God help us if Microsoft ever gets into the position they are in right now with consoles. |

| it's like a rule or something. Whoever gets the most market share has to turn into idiots and screw those who got them there. Atari did it, Nintendo did it, Sega did it, and it's Sony's turn. With the DS and Wii taking off so well, maybe it's Nintendo's turn again. |

Hmm, not yet because Nintendo hasn't hit the top and gotten an attitude about it at this time. I hope that they don't, but if they do, well then they get what they deserve. Hey, with the stuff WARP was trying to do, the Wii would actually be good for that kind of stuff. A shame the original WARP isn't around anymore. |

"No more heroes" seems like a Warp style of game. |

Depends on your point-of-view.
Ds Diner beat Resident Evil with survival horror. Although RE did it better.
And the raft of casual games and party games for the 3DO made by Warp rivals what the Playstation did with party games and what the Wii is doing with casual games.
Much of the Warp stuff (Like short warp) was sold at half the usual asking price in Japan.
So, a bit like the approach today on PSN. Small, cheap, easily playable and new games. Except it was done in 1993/4/5
Warp was also the training ground for Fumito Ueda, who did Ico and SotC on the PS2.
One of them, one of the Warp members that is, I'm not sure which one, was a real perv mind you. |

Yeah, you would know the pervs, eh? Seriously though, you make some good points there. I loved WARP and wish they were still around. Hell, I really enjoyed D2 on the Dreamcast even, it's just sad to me that the main majority of gamers just didn't "Get It". |
