|
| For those of you that have been living under a rock, Steve Scavone has announced that he should know by the end of the week if he will be able to rerelease GORF officially licensed by Midway or not. It looks good as Midway has certainly taken alot of time on this and played the Hell out of the game conversion by the 3DStooges. It will be nice to hopefully see the game available on the market again as it was an amazing conversion of the Classic Jamie Fenton Arcade Classic. More news as it becomes available. |

Hopefully he can get GORF back out, it's a great game, and the circumstances which have forced Steve to take it out of circulation have been unfortunate. _________________ Torched Threads |

| Yeah, the ball is pretty much in Midways court. God only knows what they are going to do with this though. Not like they have been trying to release it on one of their "Greatest Treasures" discs. It's a shame too as GORF is an arcade classic that hasn't seen an official home console release since the Commodore 64! That's a very long time guys, very long. |

I think the fact it's IP is spread between 3 different companies kinda determines why Midway hasn't jumped on a revival of the property. |

I think that if things take off though with this release, it could be very important for underground developement period. Might get people to understand that just because the system and game are old, we still want it and don't have to have a new console every five years. Yeah, it's a dream, but who knows? |

I just hope the sudden increase in tension caused by Jagware doesn't make Steve release further releases to only his closest friends in very limited numbers... the fact that we may never see any of his and terrence's Jag games is really disheartening espeically due to one group of programmers threatening their work through threats of piracy... |

| Well, Steve announced that it is a dead issue. Yeah, I am sure that Jagware has a bit to do with it, but can you blame him? It's bad enough to steal commercially released games, but to steal from Home Brew publishers, that is lower than low man. By a long shot. |
