Even though this game was never released, I can't help but think how cool this FPS would have been. I'm basing this solely on the demo that was released by Interplay. Terrific graphx, smooth looking motion, and ominous soundtrack. Too bad I can't find a beta copy anywhere.
Anybody else seen the demo? _________________ Why fit in when you can STAND OUT! |

Yeah, I have the disc the demo is on. Rumor has it that Good Deal Games actually has the finished product but that they are'nt releasing it because they have not cracked the encryption for the 3DO to make it work on a non test deck. I wish this would happen because it is one of those games I would so love to be able to play. Seems Interplay was brilliant during their 3DO tenure. It really is sad to see what they have become these days. |

I don't think anything could be as bad as the movie I've only seen really washed out looking screens, any videos of this online? |

You know what? I actually did enjoy that movie, damnit! As for some screen shots or a video, I am looking into that as we speak. |

I liked it too. Jean Tripplehorn naked, Dennis Hopper with one eye, pretty good stuff.
FYI - there's a vid clip of another "unreleased" title for the 3DO called "Golden Gate". It was a Myst-clone with some Masonic overtones.
watch it here if you're interested.

| Golden Gate was awesome as Hell looking. I was drooling over the release of that. I know that the game was finished too, which is another reason to be sad about it not releasing. |

Golden Gate was released for the PC if anyone is interested, pretty hard to get a hold of, got it myself somewhere and have never got round to playing it yet.
Was Waterworld ever released for another format ? |

I have Waterworld on my Virtual Boy. Not even close to the same game at all guys. I wish the 3DO version would magically materialize. |

| Strange that it never showed up anywhere else, a lot of canceled games usually make it to another console or the PC. |

Depends on who is releasing them. Case in point, this was an Interplay project. they have a 50/50 chance of either popping up somewhere else or not popping up at all. |

Hey T2K - waterworld is still actively being worked on by Good Deal Games but sadly not for the 3DO but the Sega Saturn I hope to be able to provide a more detailed update soon.
Cheers
