|
|
The writers have claimed Dickens as an influence, and have made a few references to him in the show including Desmond's claim that he has read every wonderful work of Mr. Charles Dickens (except for 'Our Mutual Friend').
In this episode, Desmond jumps from past to present/ future and is overcome with joy when he contacts Penny (on Christmas day).
Did anyone else get 'A Christmas Carol' vibe from 'The Constant'? _________________ Joopİ |

I always get a little "Great Expectations" vibe with Desmond's story.... |

Also the next lot after the Black Rock ledger was something to do with Dickens. I didn't catch it but I'm sure the auctioneer mentioned Dickens. _________________ Mark B.

Yeah! I didn't catch that the first time. We were too busy freaking out about the Black Rock ledger (a great way to launch a crew of the Black Rock flashback). The auctioneer said something like, an (emporium?) chest found in the possession of Charles Dickens when he died. _________________ Joopİ |
