Does anyone have screencaps of Faraday's chalkboard in his Oxford lab (in 1996) or his journal entries (in 2004) ... Being the engineering geek I am, I'm interested in knowing what equations/info/easter eggs were shown in this ep ...
I ALSO am studying engineering, which is why I wanted to screencap it. I notice a lot of shows use nerdy formulas and stuff, a lot of what they just make up, but I wanted to see if ANY of this made sense, seeing how LOST tends to look pretty heavily into details...
I could not really gather much from this first one. It is EXTREMELY annoying that pausing on abc.com makes the show all small and shows a HUGE ad instead.
Notice also, if you look THROUGH to the other side of the left page, it seems to be a graph with asymptotes for y= + or - x. A double cone like thing? And then he makes some sort of hyperbola...no clue :S
This one is very interesting, better def than the first. 1/n Dw/Dt on the right... Real time, space--time, imaginary time. n^2 = CT. 2n/R^2?
Anyone have any of the blackboard?
P.S. Yes, I was watching it at 3:30am....
It says, imaginary space. space. real time. time. ? And I don't get the formula
DS^2 = (1 - 2piR/Sigma)DT^2? Looks like you can just take the double integral of both sides ehh?
