If Jin has anything important to say, it will be said in English. Nothing worthwhile can be said in another language. I think Sun is about to kick. I hope.
So, I know people say this all the time but, well, I had a bad feeling creep over me right when the episode started...Jin is going to die. He isn't one of the 6...so, still a very good episode...glad to see Sun and Jin on screen for a while, I've missed those guys this season, and I guess I'll miss Jin for a while longer now...
Is this the first episode featuring a flash-back & a flash-forward? Or with flashes from 2 characters in one episode?
El Capitan seems like a straight up guy to me, loved the black box and confirmation of the bottom of the sea story as a cover-up.
AND, why did upside-down book Regina wrap herself in a blanket of chains and go deep sea diving? Cabin fever my ass, she was getting all catatonic on us and catching time trips of herself which drove her over the edge, so to speak.
Finally, I like that Sun had her baby and she is healthy, but it would be cool if maybe they would just go on ahead and run a wet-nap across little one's face for the extreme close-up...chunks of placenta on the forehead aren't so cool. _________________ "I dust a bit...in addition, I am at the moment writing a lengthy indictment against our century. Chris,
It was a sneaky Jin flashback (sneaky as we were meant to think it was a flash foward) mixed in with the Sun flashfoward!
A nice episode... plenty of reveals, especially the Michael one. (A big to everyone who thought the spy WASN'T Mike!)
Personally, I think that the chain jump is perhaps the creepiest thing that Lost has done in a while--and the fact that it's done in broad daylight makes it all the more troubling. For some reason, I imagine the banging that Des and Sayid was her walking the deck for a while, banging into things... before her jump. Frightening in its simplicity.
Interesting how Widmore is being set up as, perhaps not a "good" guy, but a "better" guy when compared to Ben--indeed the question as to where one gets 300+ bodies is a good one. _________________ "So we saved the world together for a while, and that was lovely." --Desmond

The music and the old cell phone are throwing me off. It seems like a romantic comedy starring Hugh Grant.
Good catch. I saw the cellphone, it briefly crossed my mind that it was odd and not modern, but my brain didn't take it to the next step that not modern means older, and older means flashback. Well done! _________________ "So we saved the world together for a while, and that was lovely." --Desmond
1. Jack
2. Kate
3. Hurley
4. Sayid
5. Sun
6. Ben, Aaron, Ji Yeon or someone else
I'll be honest it wasn't until the Jin left the hospital I thought uh-oh he's dead. Sun in black was the second confirmation, Hurley at the door the icing on the cake.
As for Micheal was I the only person to think he did not rememeber Sayid. I don't know he just didn't seem that worried or anything.
And just because Micheal is on the boat does not mean he is Bens man. OK it's very likely but not certain.
Good news is we get an episode next week, I thought we were done for a month now !! _________________ Mark B.

Yep, nice catch, and a little shoutout to Jack's cellphone in the last ep of last season
i totally called the michael before the end of the episode.
during the scene of regina jumping there was a quick shot of some crew people, and there michael was in a hoodie. a bit tough to see but it was undeniable to me!
great episode, love interspersing flashbacks and forwards. kinda thought something was up though due to them never being in the same room.

i think that's why i noticed it. i missed it in the finale of last season.
also, i think they have done sun / jin flashbacks before (from both perspectives in the same episode), but certainly not fwd and back at the same time!
also i think aaron is the official 6th member of...the 6.
So a nice episode, not my favourite, but then I don't really like Sun and Jin, they arer ok but just not my favourite characters. But a solid episode.
Some ramblings …..
The flashback mixed with flash-forward was a clever one. Got me. I was a bit concerned that Jin was stopping to buy a panda when Sun was in labour. I didn’t get it until he said about being married 2 months. But at that point I figured he was dead. But maybe he's alive on the island. If he's dead how/when did he die ? If he's alive why did he not go with Sun when she left ? Could only so many people leave ? Was there some drawing of straws when they got to go ? Was there some ferrying of passengers using the helicopter and after a couple of runs things went wrong ? But why would Sun and Jin not go together ? I don't get it. Perhaps Jin dies saving Sun. Perhaps Jin is kidnapped -- heck I'M clutching at straws now.
Jin and Claire both missing presumed dead.
Michael on the boat. No surprise but it struck me that Michael didn't seem to know Sayid. Is Michael Bens man ? Did the Others re-capture Michael and Walt ? Has Michael been brainwashed ? Has he spent some time in Room 23 ? Is Walt on the boat ? If not where is he ? On the island, on the mainland ? Dead ?
Very slight
Spoiler:
Apparently we learn a lot about Michaels' story from escape to where he is now next week. And the ending is a real cliff-hanger to set up the next episode after the hiatus.
What's going on on the boat to make people kill themselves and the other people being totally ambivalent about it ? How shot themselves ? Why was that woman 'reading' her book upside down ? What is happening to people ? Is this the sickness ? Is Walt on the boat making them do this like he did with the birds ?
Did the Dr. have that cut on his face last time we saw him ?
How off-island to the reconcile the ALL dead with six survivors ?
Who are the O6 ? I heard that we were going to find out the final one today so we must know them all by now. Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Sun and …. Aaron ? Ben ? Ji Yeon ? Surely it's Aaron.
Juliet telling Jin about Sun having an affair was a shocker. I didn't expect that. Guess it was to allow the showing that Jin is a changed man as he wouldn't have forgiven her pre-island. Perhaps Jin is dead and this was his 'redemption' episode.
We get an episode next week, I thought we were done for a month but not so. April 24th is when we restart for 5 more.
I heard that the finale is going to be two one hour episodes a week apart instead of one two hour episodes. Making way for the Greys Anatomy finale apparently. Not sure if that is good or bad. Good I think. _________________ Mark B.
