iTunes History podcasts

Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History

I love history.  There are many history podcasts out there but I think this is the best. Mr. Carlin is not a history professor, but a passionate student of it.  He delivers his topics with flair and humor.  He is an engaging speaker.

Some of the other history podcasts may have interesting topics but deliver them poorly.  At least one other is riddled with errors.

I also would like to recommend:
Common Sense with Dan Carlin

This podcast is a nonpartisan view of culture/government/politics.  His flair for discussion keeps me listening.  I've only listened to a few, but Voting for Cake has been my favorite.

Of course he has a website:

I'll check out both of your shows!  I LOVE History According to Bob (found at HistoryAccordingtoBob.com).  He's a college professor and former high school teacher, and generally does 5-6 shows a week at about 10 minutes per.
