Did anyone notice that Ben said " Your Friend Desmond HAD a boat." Could this mean Desmond is dead? Did anyone see Hurley at the end of Lil Bush on comedy central? |

I noticed that but what intrigued me more was Ben's lie. I would have assumed that when the "6" got off the island they would have had access to most of the island secrets. So I was surprised that Ben lied about how he left the island. So, the "teleporting/time shift" ability still seems to have still been kept a secret from Sayid and possibly the others. |

I really don't think that Desmond can die. The build up between he and Penny finding one another again is too great. Something happens to Des, but I really hope it isn't a bullet to the head. |

The Others took Desmonds boat from Sun and Jin. So, it makes sense that Ben would say he used that boat. Who would reveal the coolest secret that he can teleport off the island? Also, why would Sayid believe him?
Possible dialog:
Ben: 'You see, we had these polar bears which figured out how to teleport to Tunisia and they taught us. You see they were smarter than Sawyer after all.'
Sayid: 'Umm...sure.' |

I agree that the wording was just to remind Sayid about the boat situation, not to imply anything about Desmond's status. I would use the same verb tense myself because Desmond certainly isn't in control of the boat anymore. _________________ Go Bolts! |
