I thought that was a bit odd too.
We know some of keamys guys get away because Sawyer said to
Miles something like "your buddies went that way" but I expected
smokie to have killed at least half of them. |

Maybe Smokey was only used to scare away the freightees? Maybe Ben instructed Smokey not to kill anyone? _________________ "I dust a bit...in addition, I am at the moment writing a lengthy indictment against our century. After they had killed his daughter he'd say just frighten them away? I wouldnt think so.
That being said, i think smokey(the island) kills those that the island thinks should be dead, such as mr eko. Since the freighties havent been harming the island or investigating it in anyway it only frightened them off. Maybe the freighties serve a further purpose later on and it would mess with faith if smokey were to kill them.
Smokey aint controlled by anyone , just released like a genie from the proverbial lamp as such. Smokeys actions are entirely unpredictable.
Just my opinion folks. |

The Losites beat up Smokey with just a stick of dynomite (when it came after Locke), and the Frieghties had a bunch more fire power than that. |

Yeah, Eko and his stick would have done a better job. _________________ "Sensitivity?….WHO CARES"- jg |
