I don't think so. Though he seemed rather passive this episode i think this only says Locke is now has a different path than Ben that Ben isn't necessarily aware of.
It appears the island dosen't nessesarely tell anyone in charge what "is going on" it only tells them what they need to do and how to acheve it.
Ben has been shown his role in the islands fate, This only says that he knows generally what he has to get done. this doesn't imply that he might have other ambitions to achieve his own goals while in process of working for the island.
Ben seemed to show genuine contempt for his fate and pure reaction to emotion from shooting Locke. Though he has a job to do he is still human. |

another thing.
Ben looked nervous when Locke was digging though the bodies. Is there something in there that Ben doesn't want anyone to see? And who was the original leader of the others? |
