A centralized place for you to stake your claims.  Will Claire turn out to be dead?  Will the island blast off?  Is Keamy's arm button going to blow up the C4 on the frieghter?

I am completey spoiler free not even seen the "post-episode" next week on LOST.

I have no idea what will happen, at this stage anything goes.

We know that the O6 make it onto the coast guard plane but have no idea how they really got there and why the other people on the boat Daniel took to the freighter aren't.

At present we have;

Jack in the jungle with Sawyer.
Kate and Sayid with Alpert.
Hurley at the Orchid with Locke
Sun and Aaron on the freighter with Jin, Des and some red shirts.

So they are very spread out -- how do the O6 get back together and what happens to the rest ?

Was it a 'clue' that the little boat can only take six people ? Do they motor away on bearing 325 or whatever it was ? How do they decide who goes ? Drawing lots ? Does Sawyer give up his place hence the he chose to stay comment by Jack ? Would leader Jack really take a place ?

So onto theories ......

I suspect Jin will 'die' in an explosion on the freighter. Des may too. It will appear they are dead but they may infact survive somehow like people do on tv. Sun will blame Micheal.

Ben will no doubt get beaten up by Keamy but will have a cunning plan to save the day.

Sawyer will stay because Kate says she loves Jack. But why not go anyway.

Hurley and Locke will enter the Orchid. Locke will be confused but will "press the button" to save the island. The island will move and become lost again. Locke may get zapped into the future/past where/when ever.

Oh and Claire is dead. Miles will 'meet' her at some stage.

Most of this doesn't hang togehter and I've taken the pump action shot gun approach, fire enough and you'll hit something.

I don't think that Des will die... so given the fact that I'm usually wrong, I'm now fearful that Des will die.  Lost broke my heart killing off Charlie last season finale, and now they'll probably do it again.

You see, I started watching Lost because of Dominic Monaghan, who was so delightful on screen in Lord of the Ring and behind-the-scenes in the DVDs that, despite already having lots of new shows for the 2004 season lined up, I decided to give it a try.  By the time of the first commercial break (20 minutes into the episode--a JJ trick), I was hooked.

Now I identify with Desmond, so they're going to kill him off (I speculate).  That really stinks, because if Penny is Penelope, the Des is Odysseus, and they MUST get back together.  Perhaps if he dies, its some comment on the modern world fracturing us?

Certainly Des' refusal to return to the island is a bit of a clue.  That said, it's a bit obvious that we don't know what will happen to Jin, and Jin is on a boat with C4... so perhaps its a red herring.  Or, like Christian visiting a blonde 40-something Australian woman who was protecting his daughter (conclusion: Christian is Claire's dad), it's an easy one to see coming.

*sigh*  Why must Lost make us wait?  Less episodes, writers strike, finale break, John Kheeler being eaten by the smoke apparently, and the prospect of no new episodes till January.  Suckage.

I posted most of this somewhere else but don't know how to merge posts properly and I'd only screw it up.

Funny I watched LOST because of Domonic as well and suspect many others did too. I think that is why he got cast. None of the others were exactly household names. OK they've been in shows before but nothing as big as LotR. That and the ad with the plane breaking up.

And now for the repeat thing ....

Jin : classic case of the man in the middle. We know he's not getting off the island and Sun thinks he's dead. To cap it all he's in a room filled with explosives. Me thinks he's the odds on favourite.

Des : Seems he always gets in scrapes in season finales, could his number be up ? I think not surely someone will get a happy ever after.  Maybe his fate is to return to the island after the exploion, kind oif like he did on his boat. The whole no matter what he does he's stuck on the island.

Juliet : seems to have kicked Jack into touch and so lined herself up for the long walk to where ever Others go when they die.

Sawyer : A long shot but seems resolved and "a new man on the island". Maybe for shock value he's gonna die. I think not and he'll be the n island leader in S5.

Keamy : hardly a major character but may go to the wall for Widmore.

Rose and/or Bernard : A tear jerker if one gets offed by Keamys band of merry men.

One of the Freightee Four : can't see Miles, Daniel or Lapidus getting off'd but Charlotte isn't well liked by the fans and she's not really added any value other than her obvious assets and Englishness. She could be of use in the Temple though.

Micheal : could go in a bang as the island will let him die for saving the O6 but then who's in the coffin ?

Ben : one for the flash-forwards. Is he in the coffin ? I suspect so.

One of the O6 : A long shot this one but maybe one of them in the future decides it's all too much and does a Captain Oates.

Red shirts/Socks : these guys are doomed I tell you doomed.

So here are the questions I think will be answered in the final 2hrs. of "There's No Place Like Home" ...

(1) What happens to the Losties? -- I think Locke will move the Island, so therefore, everyone on it at that point will be "lost" ... The freighter will explode (due to Keamy's deadman's trigger) and the status of Des, Michael, & Jin will be unknown (or presumed dead) ... The "O6" will be in the zodiac leaving the Island, heading back to the freighter, at the end of the ep. When the Island is moved, the "O6" will end up in the Indian Ocean as a byproduct/side-effect.

(2) Who dies in this ep? Des, Michael, & Jin will be presumed dead (based on that they were on the freighter when it exploded) ... I think Juliet will die in helping Jack get off the Island ... Keamy will be killed, which causes the freighter to explode ... Out of the Freighties, I think Lapidus could possibly die. The other 3 still have a need in the story.

(3) Who is in the coffin? I'm still betting on Ben!!!!

(4) What is the "Frozen Donkey Wheel"? NO COMMENT ... Unfortunately, I read some possible spoilers during the last week, so I do not think I could make an un-spoiled guess at this point.

1. I agree totally. But what of Sun and baby Aaron who are on the freighter now ? Do the O4 find them in the water after the explosion of the freighter.

2. I agree except Lapidus is too popular. Charlotte for me is slightly more likely as she's pretty redundant. She still has a story to tell but she better get to it fast.

3. I agree

4. I suspect it's that the S2 finale arctic men turn out to have been a flashforward.

5. I think the final scene of this season will be the same as the S3 finale with Jack having his "We have to go back" moment but out of the shadows we will see someone, perhaps Abaddon, maybe Widmore, could be Ben, or even Alpert. Maybe just maybe that person will walk out of the shadows and say "Jack, you know, I can help you there" or words to that effect.

(1) What if Jack, Hurley, Kate, & Sayid are in the last zodiac trip back to the Freighter? Then connecting up Sun & Aaron to this group is much easier ... I think this is much more likely scenario than Sun & Aaron going back to the Island for some reason. Being the last boat to leave the Island, adequately explains why those 4 members are in the raft ... We know Sawyer is staying put & I can easily imagine Faraday staying on the Island (for scientific research & his crush on Charlotte).

(2) My pick of the Freighties to die being Lapidus is that his character's  original problem has been resolved ... The other 3 Freighties still have major storylines to fulfill in order to help solve the mysteries of the Island.

(3) "Great minds think alike!" ... Wink

(4) "Frozen Donkey Wheel" = "Arctic men discover EM anomaly being a flashforward" ... Is this speculation or a possible spoiler/foiler? I thought this was stated as the big spoiler from Lostfan108 (the same guy who ruined last season's "surprise"), but I could be mistaken.

(5) I like the idea for a scene, but I think that will play out somewhere in the middle of the ep. I gotta believe the final scene of the finale will be the "Frozen Donkey Wheel", but if you mean what will be the final scene of the Losties storyline, then I would say it will be the sky turning purple; focus on the "O6" in the zodiac (which is in eyesight of both the Island & the freighter); the sky returns to normal; and then zoom out from the "O6" in the raft to discover neither the Island nor the freighter is there anymore & the "O6" are in the middle of what we know to be the Indian Ocean.

The antarctic (isn't antarctic the south pole ?) scene being a flash-forward is an idea that's been kicked around for awhile.

I like the idea of someone emerging from the shadows at the tarmac, especially if it's Christian.
