Okay - that's a bit harsh, but the fact that the TITLE of this thread is incorrect (it's should be "The Little Prince") just goes to show how completely forgettable it is.
1. It seriously felt like the first half of any good episode... but never gave us a second half. I looked at the clock and thought "it's 9:56??? where's the rest of the episode? is this a 2 parter?"
2. am I the only person who is sick of Toddler Aaron. He's (so far) completely worthless but the writers are obligated to continue to show us brief shots of this mute child as if we forgot he was hanging around. We get it. he's around. He's part of the O6 - he probably needs to come with the rest of the gang. Just put him in daycare with someone till it's time to board the sub to the island. we don't need to see him eating breakfast, watching cartoons, sitting in a car, or doing a terrible job of making us think he's asleep. He's little more than luggage at this point.
3. the ending was pretty contrived, poorly executed and not surprising - the whole "Hi, I'm Danielle Rouseau.... THUD" landed extremely flat.... all they had to do was avoid john locke saying "hey look at this french ship wreckage - i'll bet there's some french people around." as soon as he noticed that we all knew Rouseau was in the picture somewhere...
I LOVE this season so far - this one didn't seem to match up with the the standard of the rest. |
