· Quote

From what I've read & heard, the LOST community places this latest flash-forward (based on the "Yankees sweep Red Sox" headline) in the October 2007 timeframe ... Now, this would mean that Jack's flash-forward, that we see in the S3 finale, takes place prior to in this episode, since TTLG flash-forward is known to take place in April 2007, which makes no sense!!

Both of these dates were determined by the newspapers shown in each ep's respective flash-forward ...

So, which date is correct? It seems to be 1 of 2 possibilities ... (A) April 2007 is correct for the TTLG flash, which would place the SNBH flash in August 2006, or (B) the SNBH flash occurred in October 2007, which would mean that the TTLG flash took place in April 2008 ... Sorry, there is an option (C) the timeline is correct and the events of SNBH occur before the flash-forward in TTLG.

So, which answer do people think is correct ... A, B, or C?

I found this in Wikipedia: In 2006, the Yankees won the AL East for the ninth time in a row, while the Red Sox finished behind the Toronto Blue Jays for third place thanks in large part to a late-season five-game sweep by the Yankees.

I also found a site with an August 18 (double-header)-21 five-game series that the Yankees won.  That's also 2006.

So, option A, I guess?

I would agree, based on the fact that the "Yankees Sweep the Red Sox" article could refer to an event in either Fall 2006 or 2007 ...

But their is evidence in support of option B, as well ... According to Lostpedia (S4E10 page), fans dated the flashforward based on the other content one could gleam from the newspaper, such as other boxscores. This is the same method, the LOST fans used to date the flashforward in TTLG (S3 Finale), once they determined the newspaper to be the April 5, 2007 LA Times newspaper ... Now, based on this evidence, I would say that the TTLG flashforward should actually occur in April 2008, since (i) we know the newspaper article is going to be retcon'd, and (ii) TPTB couldn't create a 2008 newspaper in 2007 (for obvious reasons).

... At least now, I can remove option C!!!
