· Quote

Yep.

That's right.

And I mean that I don't give a shit about my nationality, as long as it isn't mexican.

It's been HELL here lately....

For the uninformed, 12 days ago a local daycare center burned to the ground, killing 46 children so far. The remaining survivors don't stand much of a chance, with either severe damage to their lungs for smoke innhalation or third degree burns on 80% of their bodies. All of them children younger than 4.

This happened here. In my town.

At this moment, we don't have any results on the guilty parties, being either federal, state or local government. The owners of the daycare center were either burocrats or relatives to my boss (State Governor), or the National Social Security Institute, which in turn "subrogates" these centers. This "institution" is not allowing the families to take their children to the Shriners Center in California for some reason... WHAT THE FUCK???

The daycare center was built INSIDE a warehouse that belonged to Hacienda (our IRS), with walls made of that cardboard/polyuretane alloy. The smoke detectors were installed BELOW the ceiling and the emergency doors WERE LOCKED, and opened towards inside the building.

They say a cooler fan heated up and melted over a stack of archive boxes, which in turn started to burn. Fucking BULLSHIT.

This tragedy happened at 3:00, when all the kids were taking their afternoon nap. It was lunchtime as well, so they were short in personnel, and even the main door was locked, for "security purposes".

Some driver took his truck and smahed its tail through a wall, so the kids could be exited.

All of the above on election season, so if it wasn't tragic enough, some parties are using it as POLITICAL LOOT.

This is insane. I'm sick to the core of so much shit.

Now, I'm not typing this to receive even more crap on how fucked up my country is. I'm pretty aware of that. I'm just venting...

I lead a mildly successful life, have a beautiful family and have a job several people would kill for. But I don't want to live here anymore. I used to brag about how anyone could live here if they had a good education and the will to progress. Not anymore.

After all the violence we're enduring nowadays due to druglord wars, all the corruption rotting México to the core, all the lack of education and opportunity, all the poverty....even the fucking Swine Flu....

...this is what did it for me.

May those children souls rest in peace, and may their memory haunt the motherfuckers invloved in this terrible tragedy for as long as they live.

I've got to get the fuck out of here.

Rant over.

My GOD.

What in the fuck is the point of having exit doors for fire safety if they're fucking LOCKED??? That's beyond criminal negligence IMO. I see stuff like that at clubs and whatnot sometimes, and I just have to shake my head and make sure I hang out near a working exit. I'm not gonna go out like the people at the Station.

Fucking scary as hell that it happened in your own town, as well. Goddamn.

Dunno what to tell you, man.

Holy shit.

I heard a little about that fire, but not the details.
The poor buggers.

And you're right - druggie assholes damn near run the place - and not just Mexico, but it seems many places in the U.S. so they're almost as bad.

Sounds like the hard-working decent people (like you) should get the hell out & find a place that's not so over-run with corruption.
Can't think where.

ND's nice this time of year.....

Hey....   how about this place.....

New Zealand has been described as a "paradise" by British expats who moved here for a warmer climate and cheaper cost of living.

A NatWest International bank survey of more than 2000 British immigrants living in 12 countries found that Britons in New Zealand rated the country highly in all areas.

In the quality-of-life index, New Zealand came ahead of Canada, which topped the poll last year.

Ha ha.   Take that, IKG

Respondents said NZ had one of the lowest average property prices in the developed world, and many cited lower taxes than in Britain, a better quality of life and less stress as benefits.

A favourable tax regime meant that although average wages were lower, earnings went further.

NatWest International personal banking head Dave Isley said expats reported they were living healthier lifestyles while benefiting financially.

The average salary in New Zealand was $28,427, compared with $65,841 in Britain, but the average cost of a home was only $293,000, compared with $592,000 in Britain.

In both countries an average property cost the equivalent of roughly 10 years' wages, but Britons who sell their houses find themselves with much more cash in hand when arriving in New Zealand.

Two years ago, Chris and Janice Gorman shifted from a three-bedroom house in Surrey to a four-bedroom house with a sprawling garden near the sea in Auckland.

"New Zealand and the UK are roughly the same size, but there are 56 million fewer people," Mr Gorman said. "It makes a massive difference. Everyone has time for you.

"We find it much more sociable here. There is a huge emphasis on family life and relaxation time."

The Gormans, who are two of more than 200,000 British-born Kiwis, said their only regret was not being able to visit family in the UK "on a whim".

Of all the expatriates surveyed, 86 per cent believed their lives were better than before they emigrated and 92 per cent said they were happier.

Despite the global recession, 87 per cent were better off, including engineers, teachers, economists, accountants, IT professionals and those working in financial services and marketing.

"Despite the global slowdown affecting everyone, the potential to earn more money abroad is clearly one of the main benefits expats are experiencing," said Mr Isley.

New Zealand and Canada were followed in the poll by Australia  (boooo)  , France, the United Arab Emirates, Portugal, Spain, South Africa, the US and China. Singapore and Hong Kong came last.

Sth Africa's more appealing than America?

lmao

Mon and I are coming to NZ to set up a commune.

It's NOT a compound, no matter how many gun turrets we have or how much napalm we're storing "just in case".

We will require a large supply of Kool-Aid and ammunition.

I am currently waiting on the next Oasis album release to tell me when Healter Skealter is coming down and when to retreat into the well to hide from the inevitable race war / armageddon. I've already bought all the bricks we'll need for the Wonderwall, which will protect the Chosen from the Damned, and will also provide a landing guide for the mothership when the space aliens come to take us to the tail of Frehley's Comet.

BTW, I am the second coming of Jesus. Forgot to mention that before....

May I recomend the Coromandel Penninusla - a large area of bushland widely known to be the....  uh....   "green" centre of NZ.
Smoke all the weed you like.
Chances are, Mr Plod will join you.

Sorry - Oasis has a lifelong ban in our fair land.
We prefer people who can sing on-key.

Jebus?   Does that mean db's coming too?

Well, Charlie already disproved the Beatles' timeline.

I figure, the Oasis plan will be the exact same one, but it'll be brand-new and won't take as much intelligence to understand.

That way, Pete will join up because it'll be easy to understand, and DaveAce will join up because he'll hear that he's going to "enjoy something that's only a few days old".

Slight problem with your plan....

Frehley's Comet isn't due until the Spring.

DaceAce will enjoy it here.  It's lambing season soon...

Wow Mon, that's horrible!! Shocked   When you fear for your family's safety it's time to get the fuck out.

Come to Canada, it's clean, beautiful and peaceful.  Sure we all have our problems, but honestly, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.  The only downfall is winter but your kids will love to play in the snow! Mr. Green

Thanx, Toni.

I've been considering it. I'll look into it a little further.

48 babies dead so far. Sad

One of these days you're going to open your front door, and I'm gonna be there all wrapped up in a blanket on your doorstep.

ADOPT ME!
