All of my equipment has been ordered.

A new acoustic/electric (the one I posted) with all accessories (hardshell flight case, capo, and a shitload of picks, which I seldom use but should start), a new computer (Imac), and an automated mixing desk.

I dropped around $3000 on this shit, but it's what I've been working for for years.

Now I just have to make room for it all in my apartment... I'm gonna have to rent a storage space within the week, unfortunately.

But I'm over the fucking moon about this purchase... I feel like dancing on my desk, :drunkbastard: style!

I knew which computer I wanted and picked out the mixing desk a while ago, but nowadays I like to make a decision regarding electronics and then just not do anything about it for a while, waiting for a price break or a sign from God or something, LOL.

Turns out that I saved $100 on the computer by waiting.

I'm going to start by rerecording a song of mine called "All Around You", which is pretty much just rhythm acoustic guitar and vocals (4 overlapping parts at one point)... because that's the simplest of my stronger songs, and it'll help me get to know my new acoustic/electric.

I have an older version of it recorded already, but I've altered the melody a bit in the verses and added a climbing vocal line just before the middle section that really leads into the stronger, more urgent message contained in it... and since those 2 things were changed, I haven't let anybody listen to it in its original form. lol

So I hooked up the computer and the mixing desk over the weekend, and installed all the (new) software.

Now I just have to spend at least a few weeks figuring out how the fuck to use it, LMAO.

Hopefully it won't take too long, but seeing as how I couldn't figure out how to do a single fucking thing the other night, I'm just gonna take it slow.

If I manage to do some test recordings via the mixer/interface by the end of the week, then I'll be on-schedule. Cool
